The time between the start of school or daycare break and Christmas can seem endless for small children who believe in Santa Claus.  Here are some websites that might make it more fun.

On Portable North Pole users make personalized messages from Santa to thrill their children.  The first video is free. You can pair a video with a personal telephone call.  There are many topics to choose from for the calls.  Premium allows you unlimited full access to premium videos and calls for all family members and unlimited kids for $15.99.  There are other Premium offers. PNP donates up to 5% of web purchases to children’s hospitals around the world.

NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) Santa Tracking is always a fun activity. NORAD began this year’s tracking December 1st, but the actual tracking begins at midnight on December 23 when Santa leaves the North Pole to begin delivering presents to children.  This is an annual Christmas entertainment program that began in 1955.  It is in the tradition of the 1897 “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus”. NORAD also receives many, many calls and has volunteers to respond to all questions.

Google Santa Tracker has many games to play, and users can also track Santa.

Northpole.com has many Christmas-themed games, stories, mazes, and activities that kids will enjoy. It even has holiday recipes.  For the youngest kids, check out the Elf Pal Academy section that has decorating a virtual tree, and more advanced games for older kids.

This is a website that will interest older children.  They will learn interesting information about Christmas customs and traditions around the world.

This is the site for kids who love puzzles.  TheKidzPage has many holiday-themed online jigsaw puzzles.  Depending on the child’s age, there are puzzles with 6, 12, 25 or 40 pieces.
